A great Orig Japanese Woodblock Print Yamamoto Tomokatsu Crescent Moon Night Kyoto Hanga Printmaker 1953

This is a very beautiful and rare original Japanese Shin Hanga woodblock print “Crescent Moon Night” signed by the famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Yamamoto Tomokatsu published by the famous Kyoto Hanga Printmaker made in 1953 IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  This is an original woodblock print about 67 years old.  This woodblock print is from my family seven-decade collection of Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Art.  The size of this woodblock print is 16 1/2 x 11 1/4 inches.  The artist’s chop mark “Yamamoto Tomokatsu” is at the lower right corner of the print while the publisher Kyoto Hanag Printmaker chop mark, the carver and printer’s chop marks and one extra publisher’s chop mark are in the lower right border.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. All four borders are intact.  This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry paper.
