Orig Japanese Woodblock Print Tokuriki Tomikichiro Uchida Printmaker Shinto Shrine 1950s
This is a very a beautiful and special ORIGINAL Japanese woodblock print “Shinto Shrine” signed by the famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Tomikichiro Tokuriki (1902-1999) made in 1950s. This is an original woodblock print more than 60 years old. This woodblock print is from my family seven-decade Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Arts collections. The size of the print is 12 ¼ x 10 3/4 inches. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. The artist’s signature and the title of the print “Shinto Shrine” are at the lower left corner of the print while another artist’s chop mark is at the lower right corner. The title is also in the upper right border. This original woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese Washi paper. Except for a very light foxing spot in the top border, which does not affect the images, this original woodblock print is in good condition. It is hard to find such a beautiful and rare ORIGINAL Japanese woodblock print signed by the Japanese Shin Hanga woodblock print master Tomikichiro Tokuriki in the public nowadays. This original woodblock print is definitely an incredible piece for collecting. Any credit card, visa, master card, bank and post office money order, cashier check and personal check are accepted.
