Orig Japanese Woodblock Print LIMITED-NUMBER Shiro Kasamatsu Zen Heirin-Ji Temple

This is a very beautiful and rare LIMITED-NUMBER (256/300) original Japanese woodblock print “Zen Heirin-Ji Temple” signed by the Shin-Hanga woodblock print master Shiro Kasamatsu (1898-1991) made in 1962 with an artist’s ENBROIDER MARK IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.   This is an original woodblock print about 56 years old.  This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of Asian art and Japanese woodblock print collections in my family and we are gradually selling them.  Heirin-Ji  is a Zen Rinzai temple located in Niiza City, near Tokyo.  Kasamatsu is one of the most famous Shin-Hanga woodblock artists without introduction.  His work can be found in various Japanese woodblock print books such as “Shin-Hanga New Prints in Modern Japan” by Kendall Brown and Hollis Goodall-Cristante, Los-Angels County Museum of Art, 1996.  Information on Shiro Kasamatsu and the price of his woodblock print can be found through any search engine.  His woodblock print is highly searched for by collectors around the world.  The size of the woodblock print is 16 3/4 x 11 inches.  The artist’s signature and his chop mark are at the lower right corner of the print while the title of the print “Zen Heirin Temple”, the LIMITED-NUMBER (256/300), the date this print was made (1962) and another artist’s chop mark and an artist’s Embroidered mark are in the bottom border.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers.  This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the print’s original Japanese mulberry Washi paper.  All four borders are intact.  This ORIGINAL woodblock print is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  It is hard to find an original Shiro Kasamatsu’s woodblock print of such a beautiful scene in the public nowadays and this woodblock print is definitely an incredible piece for collecting.  Any credit card, visa, master card, bank and post office money order, cashier check, western union and personal check are accepted.  Personal checks will take about ten days to clear.
