Description & History- This is a HUGE very beautiful and LIMITED NUMBER (2/100) ORIGINAL Shin Hanga Japanese woodblock print “Hitoboshikoro “PENCIL SIGNED by the famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock master Joshua Rome (1953-) made in 1989. This is an ORIGINAL woodblock print about 27 years old. This woodblock print is from Dr. BenHo family seven-decade Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Arts collections.

Print Condition- The artist’s PENCIL SIGNATURE and his chop mark, the year that this print was made “1989”, the title of the print “Hitoboshikoro” and the LIMITED-EDITION (2/100) are in the bottom border. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers on the original Japanese Washi paper. This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese Mulberry paper. Four borders are intact. There is a tiny about 1 mm diameter blue spot in the left border, which I believe has been there since the print was first made. This original woodblock print is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
