This is a HUGE, LIMITED-NUMBER (29/200), very beautiful and special ORIGINAL Japanese woodblock print “Woman in Kimono” PENCIL SIGNED BY the famous Shin-Hanga woodblock print master Takasawa Keiichi (1914-1984) made in 1970s IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. This is an ORIGINAL woodblock print about 40 years old. This Takasawa Keiichi’s masterpiece woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of gorgeous, different-styled Japanese woodblock print collections in my family, which we are gradually selling. The designs of Takasawa’s woodblock prints have an individual style and are something special and beautiful. Takasawa’s Bijin-ga woodblock prints are rare, hard to find, and are highly searched for around the world. Information on Takasawa Keiichi and images of his woodblock prints can be easily found on the Internet, but the original woodblock print is hard to get. The size of the original woodblock print is 19 1/2 x 16 1/2 inches, which is MUCH LARGER than the traditional Shin Hanga woodblock prints. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard. Strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry Washi paper. All four borders are intact. The artist’s English and Japanese signature and his chop mark are at the lower left corner of the print while the LIMITED-NUMBER (29/200) in Pencil are in the bottom border. This original woodblock print is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. Original Takasawa Keiichi’s Bijin-ga woodblock prints are not easily found in the public nowadays.
