Great Original Japanese Woodblock Print Nishiyama Hideo Light House

This is a very beautiful and rare original Japanese woodblock print “Light House” signed by the famous Show Shin Hanga woodblock print master Nishiyama Hideo (1911-1989) published by the famous woodblock printmaker UNSODO and made around 1960s IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  This is an ORIGINAL woodblock print about 60 years old. This woodblock print is from my family seven-decade old collection of Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Art.  The size of this ORIGINAL woodblock print is 16 x 10 3/4 inches.  Nishiyama Hideo is one of the most famous Shin Hanga woodblock print artists in the Showa Era.  He was born in Kyoto in 1911. In 1954, he became the professor of Kyoto. After the WWII, he won many art prizes such as The Ministry of Education Prize in 1958 and The Japan Art Institute Prize in 1961.  His work has been collected by many famous museums around the world.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers.  The artist’s chop mark is at the lower left corner of the print.  This original woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry Washi paper.  Except for a little ink smearing at the lower left border tip in the border, which does not affect the images and has been there since this print was first made, this original woodblock print is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  It is hard to find an original Nishiyama Hideo work of such a beautiful scene in the public nowadays and it is definitely an incredible piece for collecting.
