A Huge Original Japanese woodblock Print Maekawa Senpan Red Ox at the Seashore Showa 32 (1957)

This is Huge very beautiful, special and original Japanese woodblock Shin Hanga print “Red Ox at the Seashore” made by the Famous Taisho/Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Maekawa Senpan (1888-1960) in Showa 32, which is 1957.   This is an original woodblock print 70 years old.  This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of gorgeous, differently styled Japanese woodblock print collections in my family. We are gradually selling them. The size of this ORIGINAL woodblock print is 21 x 16 3/4 inches, which is MUCH larger than the traditional Shin-Hanga woodblock print.   The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. The artist’s name, the title of this print “Red Ox at the Seashore” and the date this print was made Showa 32, which is 1957 are written in a small sticker on the back of this original woodblock print.  Four borders are intact.  This ORIGINAL woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry paper. Except for a couple of very minor wrinkles, this ORIGINAL woodblock print is in excellent condition.  It is hard to find an original Japanese woodblock print of such a beautiful scene signed by the Showa woodblock print master Maekawa Senpan made in 1950s in the public nowadays.
