A Great Orig Japanese Woodblock Print Yoshitoshi Tsukioka Bloody and Violent Samurai Watching Meiji Era #33

This is a very special and rare ORIGINAL Japanese woodblock print “Samurai Watching33” from the “Bloody and Violent Samurai” Series signed by the famous Meiji woodblock print master Yoshitoshi Tsukioka (1839-1892) made in Meiji Era IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  This is an original woodblock print more than 120 years old.  This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of gorgeous, different-styled Japanese woodblock print collections in my family.  We are gradually selling them.   As a student of Kuniyoshi, Yoshitoshi Tsukioka developed his own style and became one of most famous woodblock artists during Meiji Era.  Yoshitoshi is well known for violent scenes such as the “Eimei Nijuhasshu Ku” (Twenty-eight Stories of Violence) and epic depictions such as “Tsuki Hyakushi” (One Hundred Moonlit Historical Scenes).   The size of this woodblock print is 6 x 9 1/2 inches.  The artist’s signature and publisher’s chop mark are at the lower right corner of the print while the Samurai’s name is in the bottom border and the volume number 33 is in the right border.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers on the print.  This ORIGINAL woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese Washi paper.   This ORIGINAL woodblock print is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  It is hard to find an original Japanese woodblock print of such a special scene signed by the famous Meiji woodblock print master Yoshitoshi Tsukioka in the public nowadays.  This ORIGINAL Meiji woodblock print Ukiyoe is definitely an incredible piece for collecting.  Shipping is $16 dollars anywhere in US via USPS priority mail with insurance and tracking.  International shipping charges are US$25 through airmail WITHOUT insurance, buyers will have to assume all the risks during the mailing.  We do combined shipping.  If more than one item is purchased at the same time, the highest shipping cost will be charged.  THIS IS AN ORIGINAL JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINT BLOODY AND VIOLENT SCENE UKIYOE SIGNED BY MEIJI WOODBLOCK PRINT MASTER YOSHITOSHI TSUKIOKA (1839-1892) MADE IN MEIJI ERA.  IT IS NOT A RE-CUT, REPRODUCTION, OR LITHO PRINT.
