A Great Orig Japanese Woodblock Print Triptych Yoshitora Ferocious Dongtai Battle
This is on a very rare and special original Japanese woodblock print triptych “Ferocious Dongtai Battle” signed by the famous Meiji woodblock prints master Yoshitora Utagawa (active 1830-1887) made in Meiji Era (1867-1912). This is an original woodblock print triptych more than 130 years old. This woodblock print triptych is one of the core collections of many Asian art and Japanese woodblock print collections in my family and we are gradually selling them. The three panels are separate. The size of each panel is 10 x 14 1/2 inches. The artist’s chop mark is at lower right corner of the right panel while the publisher’s chop mark and one censor seal are in each panel. There is number four on the right panel, five on the middle panel and six on the left panel. This triptych is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of original Japanese Washi paper. This ORIGINAL woodblock print TRIPTYCH is in good condition. It is hard to find an original Japanese woodblock print triptych of such a special and rare scene signed by the famous Meiji woodblock print master Yoshitora Utagawa (active 1830-1887) in the public nowadays. This woodblock print triptych is definitely an incredible piece for collecting. Shipping is $16 dollars anywhere in US via USPS priority mail with insurance and tracking.
