This is a very beautiful and special ORIGINAL Japanese woodblock print from the famous Series “The Thirty-Six Famous Bijin (Beauties)” signed by the Meiji woodblock print master Mizuno Toshikata (1866-1908) made in Meiji 24, which is 1891 IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. This is an original Japanese woodblock print more than 120 years. This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of gorgeous, different-styled Japanese woodblock print collections in my family. We are gradually selling them. The size of this original woodblock print is 14 5/8 x 10 inches. The artist’s signature and his chop mark are at the lower right corner of the print. The title of this print and its series name are at the upper right corner of the print. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers on the print. This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and some ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese Washi paper. Four borders of this print are intact. This ORIGINAL woodblock print is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. It is hard to find an original Japanese woodblock print from the Series of “The Thirty-Six Bijin Beauties” signed by the Meiji woodblock print master Mizuno Toshikata in the public nowadays.
