A Great Orig Japanese Woodblock Print Tokuriki Tomikichiro Gion Festival July Seventeen (10) 1960s
This is a very beautiful and special ORIGINAL Japanese woodblock print “Gion Festival July Seventeen” signed by the famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Tomikichiro Tokuriki (1902-1999) with first-edition chop mark made in 1960s. This is an original woodblock print about 80 years old. This woodblock print is from my family seven-decade Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Arts collections. The size of the print is about 11 x 12 inches. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. The artist’s signature and his chop mark are at the upper right corner of the print while the artist’s English signature Tokuriki and title of the print “Gion Festival July Seventeen” are at the lower right corner of the print. This ORIGINAL woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese Washi paper. This Original woodblock print has some minor foxing, and it is in fair condition. Shipping is $16 dollars anywhere in US via USPS priority mail with insurance and tracking.
