A Great Orig Japanese Woodblock Print Ohno Bafuku Shoren-in Garden Kyoto Printmaker 1950 ORIGINAL EDITION (5)

This is a very beautiful and rare ORIGINAL-EDITION Japanese Shin Hanga woodblock print “Shoren-in Garden” signed by the famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Ohno Bakufu (1888 - 1976) published by the famous Kyoto Printmaker made in 1950s. This is an original Ohno Bakufu woodblock print about 70 years old. This woodblock print is from my family seven-decade old collection of Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Art. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. All four borders are intact. This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry paper. The artist’s Japanese signature, his English signature “B Ohno”, his chop mark and one publisher Kyoto Hanga printmaker chop mark are at the lower left corner of the print while the chop mark of Kyoto Hanga printmaker “ORIGINAL EDITION, the carver’s chop mark and printer’s chop mark are in the lower right border. Except for a light wrinkle in the upper right border, this original woodblock print is in good condition.
