A Great Orig Japanese Woodblock Print Ohno Bafuku Rose Kyoto Printmaker 1950 ORIGINAL EDITION

This is a very beautiful and rare ORIGINAL-EDITION Japanese Shin Hanga woodblock print “Rose” signed by the famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Ohno Bakufu (1888 - 1976) published by the famous Kyoto Printmaker made in 1950. This is an original Ohno Bakufu woodblock print about 70 years old. This woodblock print is from my family seven-decade old collection of Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Art. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. All four borders are intact. This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry paper. The artist’s Japanese signature and his English signature “B Ohno” are at the lower right corner of the print while the chop mark of Kyoto Hanga printmaker in English “Printed by Kyoto Hanga in 1950” is in the bottom border and “ORIGINAL EDITION” chop mark, Kyoto hanga printmaker chop mark and printer’s chop marks are in the lower right border. Except for a couple very minor short wrinkles in the borders and one small indentation in the lower left border, this ORIGINAL woodblock print is in good condition.
