This is a very beautiful and rare ORIGINAL-EDITION Japanese Shin Hanga woodblock print “Gikakuji in Snow” signed by the famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Nakamua Daizaburo (1894 -) published by the famous Kyoto Printmaker made in Showa 29 February (1954) IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. This is an original Nakamua Daizaburo woodblock print about 70 years old. This woodblock print is from my family seven-decade old collection of Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Art. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. All four borders are intact. This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry paper. The artist’s Japanese signature and his chop mark are at the lower left corner of the print while the publisher Kyoto Hanga Printmaker chop mark, the carver and printer’s chop marks are in the right border. This ORIGINAL woodblock print is in EXCELLENT CONDITION.
