This is a very beautiful, special original Japanese woodblock print “Ocean Fishing” signed by the famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Maeda Toshiro (1904-1990) published by Watanabe Hanga Printmaker in 1950s with original Watanabe publisher label IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. This is an original woodblock print about 70 years old. This woodblock print is from my family seven-decade old collection of Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Art. The artist’s chop mark is at the lower right corner of the print while the publlisher Watanabe printmaker chop mark is in the lower right border. There is another original Watanabe publisher's label in the back of this original woodblock print. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers on the original Japanese Washi paper. This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese Mulberry paper. Four borders are intact. This original woodblock print is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. Shipping is $16 dollars anywhere in US via USPS priority mail with insurance and tracking.
