This is a very beautiful, unique and limited-number original Japanese woodblock print “Sumo Wrestler” signed by the famous Showa Shin-Hanga woodblock print master Kinoshita Daimon (1946-) published by Kyoto Hanga Printmaker made in 1980s IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. This is an original woodblock print more than 40 years old. This woodblock print is from my family seven-decade old collection of Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Art. The artist’s signature, his chop mark and another special seal are at the lower left corner of the woodblock print while the publisher Kyoto Hanga Printmaker chop mark, carver and printer’s chop marks are in the lower left border. The mark of “duplicate is not allowed” and Japan Sumo Association chop mark are in the bottom border. All four borders are intact. This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese Washi paper. This original woodblock is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. It is hard for find such a beautiful original Japanese woodblock print signed by the Showa woodblock print master Kinoshita Daimon in the public today. This woodblock print is definitely an incredible piece for collecting. Any credit card, visa, master card, bank and post office money order, cashier check and personal check are accepted.
