A Great Orig Japanese woodblock Print Hasegawa Seicho Kitten Cat Adachi Printmaker 1950s (2)

This is a very beautiful and special ORIGINAL Japanese woodblock Shin Hanga print “Cat, Kitten” signed by the Famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Hasegawa Seicho (1916-2004) made in 1950s.   This is an original woodblock print about 70 years old.  This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of gorgeous, differently styled Japanese woodblock print collections in my family. This print size is 17 1/2 x 13 1/4 inches.   The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. The artist’s signature and his chop mark are at the lower left corner of the print.  Four borders are intact.  The printmaker “Adachi” chop mark is in the lower left border.  This ORIGINAL woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry paper. Except for a light frame trace on the outsides of this original woodblock print, this ORIGINAL woodblock print is in good condition.  It is hard to find an original Japanese woodblock print of such a beautiful scene signed by the Showa woodblock print master Hasegawa Seicho in the public nowadays.
