You are bidding on an EXTRA LARGE very beautiful, special, and LIMITED-NUMBER (20/100) original Japanese woodblock “Butterfly Dancing in Autumn” PENCIL SIGNED by the famous Shin-Hanga artist Chizuko Yoshida (1924-) made in 1985.   This ORIGINAL pencil signed woodblock print is about 35 years old.   This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of Asian arts and Japanese woodblock print collections in my family.  We are gradually selling them.  To see more on my family Japanese woodblock print collection, please search for shinhangagallery.com.  Chizuko Yoshida is one of the most famous Shin-Hanga woodblock artists in Showa Era.  She is also a member of Yoshida family.  Information on Chizuko Yoshida and the prices of his woodblock prints can be found through any search engine such as http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/16134/lot/5060/.  The title of this print “Butterfly Dancing in Autumn”, and LIMITED-NUMBER (20/100), Chizuko Yoshida’s PENCIL SIGNATURE and the date this print was made 1985 are in the bottom border.   All four borders are intact.  The size of this woodblock print is 18 ¼ x 13 1/2 inches, which is MUCH LARGER than the traditional Shin-Hanga woodblock prints.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers.  This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry Washi paper.  Except for a minor foxing spot in the bottom border, which does not affect the images at all, this original woodblock print is in excellent condition.  It is hard to find a LIMITED-NUMBER (20/100) original Japanese woodblock print of such a beautiful scene PENCIL SIGNED by the famous Shin-Hanga woodblock print master Chizuko Yoshida in the public nowadays and it is definitely an incredible piece for collecting.  Shipping is $16 dollars anywhere in US via USPS priority mail with insurance and tracking.  International shipping charges are US$25 through airmail WITHOUT insurance, buyers will have to assume all the risks during the mailing.  We do combined shipping.   If more than one item is purchased at the same time, the highest shipping cost will be charged.
