This is a very beautiful, rare and EXTRA LARGE LIMITED-Number (21/100) ORIGINAL Japanese Shin Hanga woodblock print “Wake - UP(2) B” PENCIL SIGNED by the famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Tadashige Nishida (1942 -) made in 2000. This is an original woodblock print about 20 years old. This ORIGINAL woodblock print is from my family seven-decade old collection of Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Art. The print size is 18 x 13 3/4 inches, which is MUCH LARGER than the traditional Shin Hanga woodblock prints. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. All four borders are intact. This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry paper. The artist’s chop mark, his PENCIL SIGNATURE, the LIMITED-NUMBER "21/100", the publication date 2000, and the title of the print " Wake - UP(2) B " are in the bottom border. Except for some minor smearing in the bottom border and a very light invisible diagonal wrinkle in the bottom border, this original woodblock print is in good condition.
