This is an EXTRA LARGE, very special, LMIITED NUMBER (8/40) and PENCIL-signed original Japanese woodblock print “Meiji Village Koizumi Yakumo summer house” by Maeda Morikazu (1932-2007) made around 1960s IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. This woodblock print is a part of a large number of Asian Art and Japanese woodblock print collections in my family, which we are gradually selling. The print size is 18 x 13 inches, which is larger than the traditional Shin Hanga woodblock prints. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. All four borders are intact. This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry Washi paper. The artist's Pencil signature, the title of the print "Meiji Village Koizumi Yakumo summer house (明治村・小泉 八雲 避 暑 の家 - 0231063)" and LIMITED-NUMBR (8/40)are in the bottom border.
