Original Japanese Woodblock Print Junichiro Sekino Daruma Doll Fair 1960s

Description & History- This is a HUGE, very beautiful, and special original Japanese woodblock print “Daruma Doll Fair” signed by the Famous Taisho/Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print artist Junichiro Sekino (1914-1988) made in Showa Era with the ORIGINAL JUNICHIRO SEKINO WATER MARK IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  This is an original woodblock print about 40 years old.  This woodblock print is from Dr. Ben family seven-decade Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Arts collections.

Print Condition- Daruma Doll Fair in Japan which is a big fair held at Takasaki City Gunma Prefecture on January 6th and 7th each year is listed at the following link, http://web-japan.org/kidsweb/explore/calendar/january/daruma.html.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers.  The artist’s signature and his chop mark are at the lower right corner of the print.  There is a Junichiro Sekino’s WATER MARK at the middle of the bottom border.  Usually in Japan,  publishers only put this kind of water mark on very expensive woodblocks.  This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry paper.  All four borders are intact.  This woodblock print is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

Shipping- Shipping is $16 anywhere in US by USPS priority mail with insurance and tracking.  Due to the recent postage raise for the large dimension international mail, international shipping charges are US$35 through 1st class airmail WITHOUT insurance, buyers will have to assume all the risks during the mailing. If you choose to mail by international priority mail with tracking and limited insurance, it costs around $50.  We do combined shipping.  If more than one item is purchased at the same time, the highest shipping cost will be charged.
