Orig Japanese Woodblock Print Sadao Watanabe PENCIL Sign Jesus Last Supper Gethsemane

This is a very special original Japanese woodblock print “Jesus Last Supper Gethsemane” signed by the famous Showa modern woodblock print master Sadao Watanabe (1913-1996) made in 1973.  This is an original woodblock print more than 44 years old.  This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of gorgeous, different-styled Japanese woodblock print and Asian art collections in my family, which we are gradually selling.  Prints by Sadao Watanabe are rather rare and expensive.  The prints by Sadao Watanabe are collected in major museums like the Tokyo Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and certainly some more.  Sadao Watanebe’s woodblock prints are shown at the following link and are sold for thousand dollars. https://www.google.com/search?q=%22Sadao+Watanabe+%22+woodblock&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=6rf_UoDAH8ryoASIl4CQBg&ved=0CCcQsAQ&biw=1390&bih=711.  The print size is 13 x 9 inches.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers.  All four borders are intact.  The artist’s PENCIL SIGNATURE and his chop mark and the date this print was made “1973” are in the bottom border of the print.  This original woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry paper.   Except for a tape residue in the back of the print at the top and bottom border as you can see, this original woodblock print is in excellent condition.   Please examine the photos.  If there are any questions, please ask before bidding.  It is hard to find such a beautiful original Japanese woodblock print signed by the famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Sadao Watanabe in the public nowadays. This woodblock print is definitely an incredible piece for collecting.
