EXTRA LARGE Orig Japanese Woodblock Print Geisha Maiko Tateishi Harumi

This is an EXTRA LARGE, very beautiful and rare original Japanese woodblock print “Geisha, Maiko” signed by the Showa woodblock print master Tateishi Harumi (1906-1994)  made In Showa Era.   This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of Asian art and Japanese woodblock print collections in my family.  We are gradually selling them.  Tateishi Harumi is one of the most famous Showa woodblock artists, specializing in “Female Image”. His woodblock prints are highly searched for by collectors around the world.  The woodblock print is 19 1/4 x 14 1/4 inches, which is MUCH LARGER than the traditional Shin Hanga woodblock prints.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers.  All four borders are intact.  This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of Japanese mulberry paper.   The artist’s signature and his chop mark are at the lower right corner in the border.  This woodblock print has been preserved carefully in my family during the past decades.  Except some very minor wrinkles at the lower right corner in the border around the artist’s chop mark, this woodblock print is in excellent condition.  It is hard to find such an EXTRA LARGE Beautiful ORIGINAL Japanese woodblock print from Tateishi Harumi in the public nowadays.  This woodblock print is definitely an incredible piece for collecting.
