Orig. Japanese Woodblock Print Triptych Tsukioka Yoshitoshi Tagoshima Battle (1) Meiji 10 (1877)

This is on original Japanese woodblock print triptych of “Tagoshima Battles” by the Famous woodblock artist Yoshitoshi Tsukioka (1839-1892), made in April 12^th Meiji 10, which is 1877.  This is a very colorful and beautiful original Japanese woodblock triptych about 142 years old. It depicts a battle between Takoshima rebels and government military forces during the Meiji Period. The three panels of this triptych are separate. The size of each panel of this triptych is 14 ¼ x 9 1/4 inches.  The artist’s signature is at the lower left corner of the left panel while the publisher’s name, address and publication date (April 12^th Meiji 10) are at the lower right corner of the right panel.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers on the print.  The triptych is attached to a very thin original Japanese Washi backing paper to prevent it from tearing and forming wormholes.  Except for a very light vertical crease about half inch away from the right edge of the left panel, which has been fixed by the thin original Japanese Washi paper, this ORIGINAL woodblock print triptych is in good condition.  It is hard to find such a beautiful and special original Japanese woodblock print triptych signed by the famous Meiji woodblock print master Tsukioka Yoshitoshi in the public nowadays.  Any credit card, visa, master card, bank and post office money order, cashier check, western union and personal check are accepted.  Personal checks will take about ten days to clear.
