A Great Orig Japanese Woodblock Print Tomoyo Jinbo Plum Nude Bijin March Showa 56 (1981)

This is a very beautiful and rare original Japanese woodblock print “Plum Nude Bijin” signed by the Showa woodblock print master Tomoyo Jinbo (1902-1994) made In March Showa 56, which is 1981 with some EMBROIDERED MARKS in the upper right border.   This is an ORIGINAL WOODBLOCK PRINT about 40 years old.  This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of Asian art and Japanese woodblock print collections in my family.  We are gradually selling them.  Tomoyo Jinbo is one of the most famous Showa woodblock artists, specializing in “Female Image”. Although there are not a lot of artworks made by him his woodblock prints are highly searched for by collectors around the world.  The size of this woodblock print is 11 3/4 x 17 3/4 inches. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers.  All four borders are intact.  This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of Japanese mulberry paper.   The artist’s signature and his chop mark are at the lower right corner of the print while the publication date March Showa 56 (1981), carver and printer’s chop marks are in the lower right border.  There is an EMBROIDER MARK in the upper right border. This woodblock print is in excellent condition.  It is hard to find such a Huge beautiful ORIGINAL Japanese woodblock print from Tomoyo Jinbo in the public nowadays.  This woodblock print is definitely an incredible piece for collecting.
