A Great Orig Japanese Woodblock Print Okuyama Jihachiro Hakone Lake Ashinoko May 1948

This is a very beautiful and special ORIGINAL Japanese woodblock print “Hakone Lake Ashinoko” from the Series “Japan Scenery” signed by the famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Okuyama Jihachiro (1907-1981) made in May 1948.  This is an original woodblock print about 72 years old.  This woodblock print is from my family seven-decade old collection of Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Art. The print size is 16 x 10 1/4 inches.  The artist’s signature and the date this original woodblock print made May 1948  are at the lower right corner of the print while the the carver and printer’s chop marks are in the lower right border and the title of the print “Hakone Lake Ashinoko” is in the upper left border.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers on the original Japanese Washi paper.  This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese Mulberry paper.  Four borders are intact.  Except for some minor foxing in the top border, which do not affect the images at all, this ORIGINAL woodblock print is in good condition.  Any credit card, visa, master card, bank and post office money order, cashier check and personal check are accepted.  Personal checks will take about ten days to clear.  Texas residents need to pay 8.25% tax.  Shipping is $16 dollars anywhere in US via USPS priority mail with insurance and tracking.  International shipping charges are US$25 through airmail WITHOUT insurance, buyers will have to assume all the risks during the mailing.  We do combined shipping.  If more than one item is purchased at the same time, the highest shipping cost will be charged.
