A Great Japanese Woodblock Print Triptych Hiroshige Utagawa Eight Views of Kanazawa at Night (2)

$ 249.00

This is a very beautiful and romantic Japanese woodblock print triptych “Eight Views of Kanazawa at Night” from the famous Edo artist Hiroshige Utagawa (1797-1858) published by the famous print maker Takamizawa made in Showa 47, which is 1972 IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  This woodblock print is a classical representation of Hiroshige’s mastery of romantic scenery of Japanese in Edo Era.  This woodblock print is from my family seven-decade Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Art collections. The three panels are separate. The size of each panel is 10 ¾ x 16 1/4 inches.  The artist’s signature and his chop mark are close to the lower left edge of the left panel while three censor seals are on each panel of this beautiful woodblock print triptych. The printmaker Takamizawa chop mark, the carver and printer’s chop marks and the date Showa 47 (1972) this woodblock print triptych was made are in the back of the lower right edge of the right panel. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers on the original Japanese Washi paper.  This woodblock print TRIPTYCH is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese Mulberry paper.  This woodblock print TRIPTYCH is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  Shipping is $16 dollars anywhere in US via USPS priority mail with insurance and tracking.  International shipping charges are US$28 through airmail WITHOUT insurance, buyers will have to assume all the risks during the mailing.  We do combined shipping.
