Huge Original Japanese Woodblock Print LIMIT# Kato Shinmei Takamizawa Fan Dancing Maiko Watermark

You are bidding on a HUGE very beautiful and rare LIMITED-NUMBER (43/300) original Japanese woodblock print “Fan Dancing Maiko” signed by the Showa woodblock master Kato Shinmei (1910-1988) with ORIGINAL artist’s Watermark made in 1960s IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  This is an original woodblock print about 50 years old.  This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of gorgeous, different-styled Japanese woodblock print collections in my family. We are gradually selling them.  To see more on my family Japanese woodblock print and Asian art collection, please search for shinhangagallery.com.   Kato Shinmei is best known for his woodblock prints of flowers and Bijins.   The size of this woodblock print is 20 1/2 x 17 1/2 inches.  The artist’s signature and his chop mark are at the upper corner of the print while the title of the print “Fan Dancing Maiko” is in the upper right border, the carver and printer’s chop seals are in the lower left border and the publisher’s copy right chop mark is in the lower right border. The limited number (43/300) published by Takamizawa publisher is in the back of this ORIGINAL print while the artist’s WATERMARK is in the upper left border. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers.  This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry paper. All four borders (margins) of the print are intact. This ORIGINAL woodblock print is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  It is hard to find an original Kato Shinmei’s work of such a beautiful scene in the public nowadays.  It is definitely an incredible piece for collecting.  Any credit card, visa, master card, bank and post office money order, cashier check and personal check are accepted.  Personal checks will take about ten days to clear. Shipping is $16 anywhere in US by USPS priority mail with insurance and tracking.  International shipping charges are US$25 through 1st class airmail WITHOUT insurance, buyers will have to assume all the risks during the mailing.
