A Huge Orig Japanese Woodblock Print LIMIT# PENCIL Sign Ippei Kusaki Yellow Cat 1979

This is a HUGE very beautiful and rare LIMITED EDITION (25/170) original Japanese Shin Hanga woodblock print “Yellow Cat” PENCIL SIGNED by the famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Ippei Kusaki (1937 - ) made in 1979.  This is an original Ippei Kusaki woodblock print about 40 years old.   This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of Asian art and Japanese woodblock print collections in my family. We are gradually selling them.  The artist’s chop mark is at the lower right corner of the print while the artist’s PENCIL SIGNATURE, LIMITED EDITION (25/170),  the year this ORIGINAL woodblock print was made (1979), and the title of this print are in the bottom border.  The print size is 24 x 14 ¼ inches, which is MUCH LARGER than the traditional Shin Hanga woodblock prints.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. All four borders are intact.  This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry paper.
