A Orig Japanese Woodblock Print Masamitsu Ota Kabuki Character

This is a very beautiful, and special original Japanese woodblock print “Kabuki Character 4” from the series “Showa Kabuki Theater  Characters” signed by the famous Taisho/Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Masamitsu Ota (1892-1975) made in Showa Era (1925~1987).  This is an original woodblock print about 50 years old.  This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of gorgeous, different-styled Japanese woodblock print and Asian art collections in my family, which we are gradually selling. The print size is 15 1/4 x 10 1/4 inches.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers.  All four borders are intact.  The artist’s signature and his chop are close to the middle right edge of the print while the title of the print and series name are in the right border.  The chop publisher’s chop mark and printer’s chop seal are in the lower left border.  This original woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry paper.   Except for a wrinkle in the middle of the print, this original woodblock print is in average condition.   Please examine the photos. It is hard to find such a beautiful original Japanese woodblock print signed by the famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Masamitsu Ota in the public nowadays.  This woodblock print is definitely an incredible piece for collecting.  Any credit card, visa, master card, bank and post office money order, cashier check and personal check are accepted.  Personal checks will take about ten days to clear.
