Great Orig Japanese Woodblock Print PENCIL Sign Limit# Clifton Karhu Gifu Castle

This is a very beautiful, rare and original LIMITED NUMBER (11/80) Japanese Shin Hanga woodblock print “Gifu Castle“ PENCIL SIGNED by the famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock master Kyoto Icon Clifton Karhu (1927-2007) made in 1971 IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  This is an ORIGINAL woodblock print about 47 years old.  This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of gorgeous, different-styled Japanese woodblock print collections in my family, which we are gradually selling.  To see more on my family Japanese woodblock print and Asian art collection, please search for shinhangagallery.com on Google or enter shinhangagallery.com in your browser’s address bar.  Clifton Karhu woodblock prints have been collected by a lot of famous museums such as Tokyo Modern Art Museum, Boston Fine Art Museum and Modern Art Museum in New York.  The information of Clifton Karhu and the price of his woodblock prints can be found on the Internet.  Unfortunately, he passed away in 2007.  The print size is 12 1/2 x 9 3/4 inches.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers.  All four borders are intact.  The artist’s PENCIL SIGNATURE “Clifton Karhu”, the publication date “’1971”, title of the print “Gifu Castle“ and the Limited Number “11/80” written in PENCIL are in the bottom border.
