Orig Japanese Woodblock Print Ohno Bafuku Limited# Long Tail Cock Kyoto Hanga Printmaker 1953

This is a very beautiful and rare LIMITED-NUMBER (732) original Japanese Shin Hanga woodblock print “Long Tail Cock” signed by the famous Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Ohno Bakufu (1888 - 1976) published by the famous Kyoto Hanga Printmaker in October Showa 28 (1953).  This is an original Ohno Bakufu woodblock print about 66 years old.  This woodblock print is from my family seven-decade collection of Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Art.  The size of this woodblock print is 16 x 11 1/4 inches.  The artist signature and his chop mark are at the lower left corner of the print.  The publication date “October Showa 28”, the publisher Kyoto Hanga Printmaker chop mark, the carver and printer chop marks and the LIMITED-NUMBER 732 are in the lower left border.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. All four borders are intact.  This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese mulberry paper.
