A great Japanese Woodblock Print Chikanobu East Wind Bijin Beauty

$ 99.00

This is a very beautiful, colorful and rare Japanese woodblock print “East Wind Bijin Beauty” from the famous Meiji woodblock print master Chikanobu (1838-1912), made in Meiji 23, which is 1890 IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  This is a woodblock print re-cut made in Showa Era.  This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of Asian art and Japanese woodblock print collections in my family.  We are gradually selling them.  The size of this woodblock print is 16 1/8 x 10 3/4 inches.  The artist’s signature with Toshidama seal,  carver’s chop mark and the date this woodblock print was originally made “Meji 23 (1890)” are close to the middle left edge of the print. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers on the print.  The woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese Washi paper. This woodblock print is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  It is hard to find such a beautiful, colorful, and rare woodblock print signed by Meiji woodblock print master Chikanobu in the public nowadays and it is definitely an incredible piece for collecting.  Any credit card, visa, master card, bank and post office money order, cashier check and personal check are accepted.  Personal checks will take about ten days to clear.  Texas residents need to pay 8.25% tax.  Shipping is $16 dollars anywhere in US via USPS priority mail with insurance and tracking.  International shipping charges are US$25 through airmail WITHOUT insurance, buyers will have to assume all the risks during the mailing.  We do combined shipping.  If more than one item is purchased at the same time, the highest shipping cost will be charged.
