This is a very beautiful and colorful Japanese woodblock print “Big Fire at Two-country Bridge on January twenty-six of Meiji fourteen” signed by the famous Meiji woodblock print master Kiyochika Kobayashi (1847-1915) originally made in Meiji 14, which is 1881 IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. This woodblock print should be made in Showa era around 1960s.  This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of gorgeous, different-styled Japanese woodblock print collections in my family.  We are gradually selling them.  To see more on my family Japanese woodblock print and Asian art collection, please search for shinhangagallery.com.  The size of this woodblock print is 13 1/2 x 9 1/4 inches.  Kobayashi Kiyochika’s signature is at the lower left corner of the print while the publisher’s name, address and publication date “Meiji 14” are in lower right border. The title of this woodblock print is in the bottom border. All four borders are intact.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers on the print.  This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the Japanese mulberry paper.  This woodblock print is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  Shipping is $16 dollars anywhere in US via USPS priority mail with insurance and tracking.  International shipping charges are US$28 through airmail WITHOUT insurance, buyers will have to assume all the risks during the mailing.  We do combined shipping.  If more than one item is purchased at the same time, the highest shipping cost will be charged.  (SF23_20230212_5)
