Original Japanese Woodblock Print Ito Shinsui Bijin-ga Chrysanthemum Flower Arrangement

Description & History- This is a HUGE very beautiful, and special original Japanese woodblock print “Chrysanthemum Flower Arrangement” signed by the famous Taisho/Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print master Shinsui Ito (1898-1974) made in Showa Era (1925~1987) IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  This is an original woodblock print.  This woodblock print is from Dr. BenHo family seven-decade old collection of Japanese woodblock prints and Asian Art.

Artist- Shinsui Ito (1898-1974).  Ito Shinsui belongs to the great masters of the Shin Hanga movement.  In 1952 the Japanese government declared his artwork an intangible national treasure, the highest public award a Japanese artist could achieve.

Print Size- 22 x 16 1/2 inches

Print Condition- The artist’s signature, his chop mark and the title of this print are at the upper right corner of the print while the publisher’s chop mark “MoMoSe”, the carver and printer’s  chop marks are in the lower left border. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers on the original Japanese Washi paper.  This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese Mulberry paper.  Four borders are intact.  This original woodblock print is IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

Shipping- Shipping is $16 anywhere in US by USPS priority mail with insurance and tracking.  Due to the recent postage raise for the large dimension international mail, international shipping charges are US$25 through 1st class airmail WITHOUT insurance, buyers will have to assume all the risks during the mailing. If you choose to mail by international priority mail with tracking and  insurance, the shipping cost is $55.  We do combined shipping.  If more than one item is purchased at the same time, the highest shipping cost will be charged.
