Orig. Japanese Woodblock Print Triptych Kunitoshi Tokyo Firefighter

This is a very beautiful and special original Japanese woodblock print triptych “Tokyo Firefighter” by the famous Meiji Ukiyoe master Kunitoshi Utagawa (active 1847-1899), made in December Meiji 13 (1880).  This is an original woodblock about 138 years old. This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of Asian art and Japanese woodblock print collections in my family.  We are gradually selling them.   This woodblock print depicts a scene of the Firefighetr practice in Tokyo during Meiji Era.   The three panels are separate.  The size of each panel of this woodblock print triptych is 14 ¼ x 9 ¼ inches.  The artist’s signature and his chop seal are at the lower right corner of the right panel while the chop stamps of the publisher’s name, address, and publication date are close to the middle left corner of the left panel.  This woodblock print is not attached to any backing paper or cardboard and strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of the original Japanese Washi paper.  The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers.  Except for some ink smear at the upper left corner of the right panel due to its age, this woodblock is in good condition.  It is hard to find an original Japanese woodblock print triptych of such a beautiful and special scene in the public nowadays and it is definitely an incredible piece for collecting.  Any credit card, visa, master card, bank and post office money order, cashier check and personal check are accepted.  Personal checks will take about ten days to clear.  Texas residents need to pay 8.25% tax.  Shipping is $16 dollars anywhere in US via USPS priority mail with insurance and tracking.  International shipping charges are US$25 through airmail WITHOUT insurance, buyers will have to assume all the risks during the mailing.  We do combined shipping.  If more than one item is purchased at the same time, the highest shipping cost will be charged.  If full payment is not received in 7 days, the items will be re-listed for sale.  THIS IS A ORIGINAL JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINT TRIPTYCH SIGNED BY THE MEIJI UKIYOE WOODBLOCK PRINT MASTER KUNITOSHI MADE IN MEIJI 13 (1880).  IT IS NOT A RE-CUT, REPRODUCTION, OR LITHO PRINT.
